From November 27 to December 16, 2019, the "Agricultural Training Courses for Solomon Islands 2019", sponsored by the Guangdong People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, organized by our Academy, and co-organized by our Rice Research Group and Animal Science Research Group, weregivenin Guangzhou. 10 trainees led by DANIEL OGU BESA'A, Minister of Agriculture & Fisheries of Guadalcanal Province, Solomon Islands participated in the training.
　　With the support of the Foreign Affairs Office, People’s Government of Guangdong Province and the Guangdong People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, in response to the technical requirements raised by Guadalcanal province, Solomon Islands, our Academy has carefully designed teaching courses of abundant content and field research courses, where a comprehensive introduction to technologies related to rice cultivation and pig breeding was carried out. Besides, we have also arranged tours and studies ofhybrid rice seed production line, rice processing production line, and the modern equipment of pig farmstocomplement the teaching content. The trainees stated that the training was helpful. In addition, amazed at Guangdong’s development speed, theysaid its agricultural technology was worthy of their learning. They hope two sides can carry out more in-depth exchanges and cooperation in future.
